Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 11 SE in China, where it retails for at least CNY 1,099 (~US$165). However, it seems that Xiaomi has taken the POCO M3 Pro 5G and slapped a Redmi logo on the back, with the pair even sharing identical designs.

Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 11 SE in China, which launches alongside the Redmi Note 11T Pro and the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus. While the Redmi Note 11T series are brand-new, the Redmi Note 11 SE appears to be a re-branded POCO M3 Pro 5G that Xiaomi first released a year ago this month. For some reason, Xiaomi has even re-used the POCO M3 Pro 5G's design, although it has omitted the POCO Yellow colourway.

Hence, the Redmi Note 11 SE measures 161.81 x 75.34 x 8.92 mm and weighs 190 g. Also, Xiaomi equips the handset with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, a 6.5-inch IPS display and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 18 W fast charging. Incidentally, the display operates at 1080p with a 90 Hz refresh rate and offers a 1,500:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 11 SE with the same 48 MP primary, 8 MP front-facing and two 2 MP depth and macro cameras that the POCO M3 Pro 5G has.

Worse still, the Redmi Note 11 SE ships with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, not the newer Android 12 or MIUI 13. The Redmi Note 11 SE is already orderable in China, where it starts at CNY 1,099 (~US$165) with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Xiaomi offers the handset with 8 GB of RAM and the same storage amount for CNY 1,399 (~US$210). As far as we can tell, Xiaomi will ship both memory configurations in Deep Space Blue and Shadow Black colourway. For reference, the Redmi Note 11 SE will reach general sale on May 31; an international release remains unknown at this stage.
