Xiaomi Mijia Intelligent Dual-Purpose Dishwasher S1 launches with auto-opening door

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Intelligent Dual-Purpose Dishwasher S1. The gadget has an intelligent door which can automatically open and close; the door will open to speed up the drying process and then close again to protect the clean dishes from dust and pollen.

The smart dishwasher also features a hot air drying cycle, blasting the plates with 80°C (~176°F) hot air. Xiaomi claims that the hot air and the automatically opening door help dry your dishes 40% faster than a regular dishwasher.

Plus, the hot air drying and 72°C (~162°F) hot washing provide a 99.99% sterilization rate. Oil pollution sensors and AI can detect the level of dirt on the dishes in 10 s. This enables the Mijia Intelligent Dual-Purpose Dishwasher S1 to choose the optimal washing program intelligently, adjusting the cycle time as necessary.

Alternatively, you can select from 10 washing modes with different time, temperature and intensity settings. You can choose your mode on the gadget or via the Mijia app, and you can control the device with voice commands.

The Mijia S1 dishwasher measures 795 x 598 x 598 mm (~31.3 x 23.5 23.5-in) with space to stack up to 100 items. 27 jets provide up to 45,000 Pa output for a thorough clean, and the BLDC inverter motor minimizes the noise produced by the machine.

You can now pre-order the Mijia Intelligent Dual-Purpose Dishwasher S1 in China for 3,199 yuan (~US$480) by paying a 100 yuan (~US$15) deposit. After this pre-sale period, the price will increase to 3,499 yuan (~US$525). It is currently unclear whether or when the dishwasher could be available in other markets.
