Xiaomi Mijia Direct Drive Washing and Drying Machine 10 kg with air wash mode launches
Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Direct Drive Washing and Drying Machine 10 kg. The device has a direct drive (DD) motor for robust and precise performance. The motor is quiet, with a 50 dB output and a 10-year warranty. Plus, the machine has a 99.99% sterilization rate.
You can pause the washing machine at any time to add more clothes. 26 washing and drying programs are available on the device to suit a range of fabrics and load sizes. A wool wash mode has been certified by the CVC agency for a soft finish.
A steam air mode can remove odors without thoroughly washing clothes, and the machine has a 15-minute quick wash setting. The smart drying functionality will automatically stop the device when the clothes are dry to save energy.
The Mijia washing machine measures 598 x 850 x 650 mm (~23.5 x 33.5 x 25.6-in). The gadget can handle up to 10 kg (~22 lbs) when washing or 7 kg (~15 lbs) when drying, approximately 45 shirts or four bedding sets.
You can connect the gadget to other smart home devices. For example, a Xiao AI speaker can alert you when the washing is complete, and you can trigger smart lights or a drying rack. Xiaomi has also promised over-the-air updates for the device.
You can now pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Direct Drive Washing and Drying Machine 10 kg in China for 1,999 yuan (~US$300) with a 100 yuan (~US$)15 deposit. After this pre-sale period, the price will increase to 2,199 yuan (~US$330).
