The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has published a listing for an unreleased Xiaomi tablet. Registered under the notification number RU0000056434, the listing is for 22081283G, with the 'G' suffix denoting that Xiaomi intends to sell the device globally. Unfortunately, the EEC does not provide any further details about the 22081283G, although Xiaomiui claims that '2208' refers to an approximate release date, August 2022.
According to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi has already started mass-producing 22081283G outside China, also known as 'L83'. Additionally, Digital Chat Station claims that Xiaomi has another tablet in development, codenamed 'L81'. Based on Xiaomiui's analysis, 'L81' has the model name 22xx1281G, not 22081283G. Purportedly, 'L81' could be a Redmi-branded tablet, but Xiaomiui has not provided evidence that this is the case.
Meanwhile, @stufflistings names 22081283G as the Xiaomi Pad 6, the follow-up to last year's Pad 5 series. Apparently, Xiaomi has begun internal testing with a view to launching the Pad 6 in August or as early as July. The design of the Pad 6 has not leaked yet, but we imagine that Xiaomi will return to an 11-inch display, a popular panel size among Android OEMs.
