Xiaomi has released its first laser printer, the K200. The all-in-one gadget can print, scan and copy documents. There are many ways you can connect to the device, including via an NFC reader.
This tool allows Air Tap mode, where you tap your Android or iOS phone against the device to start printing. You can also use a driver-free web drag and drop functionality or print directly from the WeChat app. Plus, remote printing enables you to create a job from a different network.
Network connection to the K200 printer is possible via USB, the Mijia or Mi Printing app. Multi-terminal platforms such as Android, iOS, Windows and macOS are supported with wireless connections. You can control the printer via a built-in touch panel or the Mijia app.
The K200 printer has intelligent features, such as ID Card smart copy, which allows you to place an ID card anywhere on the scanner, and the printer will automatically straighten the image. The gadget will also enhance an image for readability and accurate color representation.
The printer comes with pre-installed toner, which Xiaomi claims will cover 4,000 pages, with a printing cost of ~0.05 yuan (~US$0.01) per page. According to the company, the device can print 23 pages per minute.
You can now pre-order the Xiaomi K200 laser printer in China for 1,449 yuan (~US$217) with a 50 yuan (~US$7.50) deposit.
