Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 is tipped to launch soon following a fresh Geekbench leak
The Redmi Note series of smartphones has proven so successful that its latest flagship has even been the first to the new class-leading ISOCELL HPX image sensor among Xiaomi mobile devices in 2022. However, it has also become one of the main targets for the OEM's mystifying and arcane attitude to product names over the years.
One of the latest examples of the resulting mire of device monikers is the Note 11 Pro, which is said to be re-used yet again, despite the multiple regional variants (such as the one sold on Amazon.in) that already answer to it. This new version might ship globally and be referred to as the "2023" edition.
The potentially frustrating sense of redundancy is compounded by rumors of this device having specs also found in a device called the Redmi Note 10 Pro. They include the aging Snapdragon 732G as an SoC - a rumor that has just been given more weight by a new Geekbench listing.
The new set of benchmarking results is for a "Xiaomi 2209116AG", which is indeed linked to the so-called Note 11 Pro 2023. It has been detected as running on a Qualcomm processor with 6 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and 2 more at 2.3GHz and having the code-name sweet - very possibly the 732G, in other words.
The possible Redmi Note reboot has 8GB of RAM in its new leak - however, it also runs Android 11. Therefore, the brand might be advised to pitch it as an ultra-budget smartphone should it truly launch soon with an OS that is getting as worn out as its specs and name.
