Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus global and Indian launch names confirmed
It has been a day since Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 11 series, which features the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. However, @kacskrz has already discovered Xiaomi's plans to release the Redmi Note 11 series elsewhere. Currently, Xiaomi has not confirmed if it will bring the Redmi Note 11 series to other markets, but past performance suggests that it will.
According to @kacskrz, the Redmi Note 11 Pro will arrive as the Xiaomi 11i, not to be confused with the Xiaomi Mi 11i. For reference, Xiaomi sells the Mi 11i as the Mi 11X Pro in India and the Redmi K40 Pro Plus in China. As the screenshots below show, Xiaomi has added support for the 11i in MIUI. The code also confirms its codename, 'pisarroin', and its model number, '21091116I'.
If the Redmi Note 11 Pro is 'pisarro', then 'pisarroin' is its Indian sibling. In the same vein, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus (pisarropro) also has an Indian derivative codenamed 'pisarroinpro'. MIUI refers to 'pisarroinpro' as the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, which bears the model name '21091116UI'. HyperCharge is Xiaomi's branding for its 120 W wired charging technology, first seen on the 11T Pro.
Hence, the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will be the Indian versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, respectively. By contrast, Xiaomi will release the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus under the same name elsewhere, as denoted by the 'G' in its model number '21091116UG'. Likewise, the Redmi Note 11 Pro will make it all other markets without a rebrand.
Unfortunately, it is unclear when Xiaomi will announce the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus globally. The same goes for the Xiaomi 11i and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. There is no word yet on whether Xiaomi will launch the regular Redmi Note 11 outside China.
