Xiaomi brings 120 W wired charging to Redmi smartphones with the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, or Redmi Note 11 Pro+ as Xiaomi calls it. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is the top tier device in the Redmi Note 11 series, at least for the time being. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is not just a better version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro though; the latter has a bigger battery than the former.
Specifically, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus has a 4,500 mAh battery compared to the 5,160 mAh one in the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. Both devices feature a Dimensity 920 SoC too, along with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that operates at 120 Hz with a 360 Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, they share a 108 MP primary camera that Xiaomi has confirmed is the ISOCELL HM2.
By contrast, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is the only Redmi Note 11 series device that supports 120 W charging. According to Xiaomi, 'Mi Turbo' charging will return the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus to 100% from flat in 15 minutes, or 19 minutes in 'comfort mode'. The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus will come with a 120 W charging brick, unlike with modern Apple, Google and Samsung smartphones.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus will launch for CNY 1,899 (~US$297), CNY 500 (~US$47) more than the Redmi Note 11 Pro. While the entry-level model comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, Xiaomi has also announced 8 GB of RAM versions with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage for CNY 2,099 (~US$328) and CNY 2,299 (~US$360).
The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus will be available in black, green, purple and white, mirroring the Redmi Note 11 Pro. Xiaomi has not confirmed if it will launch the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus outside of China.
