Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 11 with a MediaTek Dimensity 810, 50 MP camera, and price tag equivalent to less than US$200
After weeks of hype and teasers, Xiaomi has finally announced the launch of the Redmi Note 11 series in China. The Redmi Note 11 series offers three devices: the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. While the latter two are more powerful and offer better specs, the Redmi Note 11 is a cheaper option that still delivers on all the essentials.
The Redmi Note 11 features a 6.6-inch LCD 90 Hz display. The Pro models feature 120 Hz AMOLEDs in comparison. Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 810, a chipset that offers much better performance than the Snapdragon 678 on the Redmi Note 10. Joining that is up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS2.2 storage. 128 GB of storage is now also the minimum configuration.
Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 11 sports a 50 MP main camera. The sensor in question is Samsung's S5KJN1 with a 1/2.76-inch size. That should be a slight upgrade on the 48 MP sensor on the Redmi Note 10. The main camera is joined by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16 MP selfie camera.
Other specs and features include a 5000 mAh battery, 33 W charging, stereo speakers, X-axis linear motor, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Redmi Note 11 sales begin on November 1. Pricing is as follows:
- 4/128 GB: CNY 1,199 (US$185)
- 6/128 GB: CNY 1,299 (US$205)
- 8/128 GB: CNY 1,499 (US$235)
- 8/256 GB: CNY 1,699 (US$265)
