Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: Affordable mid-range phone with strong features
Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G midrange smartphone is available in online stores for around US$ 300 (depending on your location), for which you get a very well-equipped 6.67-inch device. In addition to a 108 MP camera with the Samsung HM2 as the image sensor, a 5000 mAh battery, 67-watt fast charging, and stereo speakers, it is primarily due to the SoC and the screen that the Redmi Note 11 Pro achieves good scores in our review.
Very bright AMOLED panel
The distinguishing features of the Xiaomi phone are, first of all, the Snapdragon 695 5G, which confers very solid everyday performance. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G also scores plus points with its display. Unlike many mid-range devices, it has an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Our review shows that the screen also has a lot to offer beyond the buzzwords AMOLED and 120 Hz. Not only the high-contrast display, but the surprisingly good picture quality and the largely homogeneous illumination are worth mentioning. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G also impresses in terms of brightness. According to Xiaomi, the AMOLED panel is able to reach a luminance of up to 1200 cd/m². The smartphone just missed this mark under testing, but still achieved four-digit brightness values.
At least 90 Hz on Redmi Note 11 smartphones
Xiaomi has broadly positioned its current Redmi Note 11 lineup. No fewer than 5 smartphones from the entry-level and mid-range are available. In terms of price, they range between US$ 170 (Redmi Note 11) and US$ 370 (Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G). All Redmi Note 11 smartphones are equipped with an AMOLED screen, which is not a given in this price range. Furthermore, all five also have a higher refresh rate than the standard 60 Hz.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and its sister models Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G are the top dogs, as their AMOLED panels run at 120 Hz each. The Redmi Note 11 and the Redmi Note 11S are a bit smaller. Both also have an AMOLED screen, but the refresh rate remains at 90 Hz.
