RayNeo has launched the Air 2 XR Glasses in the US. The new product from the TCL spin-off brand was first seen earlier this year in China, and arrives as a successor to the TCL NXTWEAR AIR glasses. Compared to the older model, the wearable is 15% lighter at 76 g (~2.7 oz), thanks partly to the display panels, and consumes less power.
The Air 2 XR Glasses use 0.55-in Sony Micro OLED screens with a 1080p resolution and a 46° field of view (FOV). You can use the wearable to create a 201-in (~511 cm) virtual screen at a distance of 6 m (~19.7 ft), with up to 600 nits brightness, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 108% coverage of the sRGB colour space. For gaming, the gadget has a 120Hz refresh rate and is compatible with the Steam Deck, Sony PlayStation, and Microsoft Xbox. Plus, the RayNeo JoyDock, an adapter customized for the Nintendo Switch, is on the way.
You can now buy the RayNeo Air 2 XR Glasses in the US for the discounted price of US$359, saving US$20 on the US$379 RRP thanks to a coupon at Amazon. The JoyDock is expected to arrive at Amazon US in early December, retailing for US$99. The RayNeo Air 2 will roll out to other stores in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East between now and the end of the year.
