Artemis enables "real" archery at home in the living room with VR support
Wonder Fitter has launched a campaign on Kickstarter that combines gaming and sport. Artemis makes archery with a "real" bow possible as a video game. The equipment can be purchased on the crowdfunding platform at a preferential price.
Starting at just US$99, the package offers a whole range of accessories, including various digital video games. There are also other bundles to choose from, such as a wireless cast, additional accessories or two bows for multiplayer gaming.
Shipping will take place worldwide and will begin in April 2024. Of course, the risks associated with such campaigns should always be borne in mind, even if the campaign has gotten off to a strong start. It has already been able to raise around US$150,000 so far and has already significantly exceeded its intended goal.
Artemis is modelled on a physical bow that can be held and drawn like the real thing. Wonder Fitter promises a real archery experience, but without a real arrow flying through your living room or gaming room. According to the manufacturer, Artemis also works your muscles and burns calories while gaming.
There are various games to choose from, such as shooting fruit, shooting at targets or even a wolf hunt. You can play alone or with several players online or via split screen on various platforms such as smart TVs, tablets and so on. It can also be played in VR via Meta Quest 2 or Pico 4. The video below provides a few more impressions of Artemis.
