MagyarMaster & Dynamic MW09 flagship earphones combine beryllium drivers with aptX Lossless
With the MW09, Master & Dynamic is presenting new completely wireless earbuds for the first time since the launch of the MW08 in 2021. Although the MW09s have a similar shape to their predecessors, the design has been revised - the circular part, made of sapphire glass, makes the earphones look much more elegant, while the rest of the housing is made of aluminum.
The charging case is made of either aluminum or Kevlar and both versions can be charged wirelessly on a Qi charging pad. Master & Dynamic installs dynamic drivers made of beryllium with a diameter of 11 millimeters, which are intended to provide a larger soundscape than the MW08. The sound can be adjusted to your own preferences via an equalizer in the improved M&D Connect app.
For the best possible quality and connection strength, Master & Dynamic uses a Qualcomm chip that supports Bluetooth 5.4, Auracast, LC3 and, above all, aptX Lossless, which allows CD-quality music to be streamed to the earbuds without a loss of quality. Bluetooth Multipoint is also supported, allowing a connection to two devices to be maintained at the same time.
IP54 certification promises protection against rain and sweat. The Master & Dynamic MW09 offer an enormously long battery life for completely wireless earbuds: the manufacturer specifies twelve hours with noise suppression activated, or 16 hours without, while the charging case stores enough energy for two full charges. AI is intended to improve call quality.
Price and availability
The Master & Dynamic MW09 earbuds are expected to be launched on November 14 for a recommended retail price of US$349, available in black, silver, blue, gold or green. The version with a Kevlar charging case instead of aluminum costs US$399.
