AYANEO has committed to shipping the SLIDE before the end of the year. Slipped in alongside its showcase of the FLIP series and the Pocket DMG, AYANEO has confirmed that its Indiegogo campaign may go live later this month too. For reference, the AYANEO SLIDE appears to be available only with the Ryzen 7 7840U, an AMD Zen 4 APU that has a 15 W TDP by default.
Additionally, the Ryzen 7 7840U has eight CPU cores, a 5.1 GHz peak clock speed and access to 512 KB, 8 MB and 16 MB of L1, L2 and L3 caches, respectively. Moreover, the 4 nm APU contains a Radeon 780M iGPU, a 12 Compute Unit (CU) part that can boost to 2.7 GHz when needed. AYANEO will complement the powerful APU with a 6-inch and 1080p IPS display, as well as an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD and USB4 connectivity.
Unfortunately, it remains to be seen in which memory configurations the AYANEO SLIDE will be available, nor for how much. With that said, the company's statement that the device will be 'officially unveiled at the end of November' suggests that these final details will be revealed within three weeks at the latest. AYANEO will release the SLIDE to Indiegogo first, a preview of which is already live on the crowdfunding website.
