AOC has introduced U27G3XM in China, where it joins the Q27G10E as one of its two new 27-inch gaming monitors. Arguably, the AOC U27G3XM is the more technically advanced of the two, with the Q27G10E combining a 1440p resolution with a 180 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness. While the AOC U27G3XM features an IPS panel like the Q27G10E, Mini LED backlights help it surpass its counterpart in many areas.
Specifically, the monitor's 576 Mini LED backlight zones allow the AOC U27G3XM to provide up to 1,200 nits when viewing HDR content. AOC adds that the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified too, which ensures 10-bit image processing and 450 nits peak luminosity with SDR content. Also, the AOC U27G3XM offers 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and ΔE <2 colour deviations calibrated to the sRGB colour space.
Moreover, AOC complements this high peak brightness with a 4K native resolution and a 160 Hz refresh rate, as well as 1 ms GtG response times aided by Adaptive Sync technology. Elsewhere, the monitor has a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for connecting peripherals. Unsurprisingly, AOC has included an adjustable stand as well, although there are no VESA mounts visible. The AOC U27G3XM retails for CNY 3,499 (~US$480) in China. Unfortunately, AOC has not confirmed pricing or availability in other markets yet.
