LG UltraGear 45GR65DC released with 1440p resolution, high refresh rate and ultra-wide aspect ratio
Pre-orders for the UltraGear 45GR65DC have now opened, LG's cheaper alternative to the UltraGear 45GR75DC. Still, the UltraGear 45GR65DC features the same core features as its more expensive sibling, including a 44.5-inch VA panel that outputs at 1440p (5,120 x 1,440) with a 32:9 aspect ratio.
In other words, the UltraGear 45GR65DC is equivalent to a pair of 24.5-inch and 2,560 x 1,440 monitors, albeit with a 1500R curvature. Additionally, the new monitor has a 200 Hz refresh rate, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, 1 ms GtG response times and is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified. Also, LG equips the UltraGear 45GR65DC with the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB Type-A
- 1x USB Type-B
The UltraGear 45GR65DC is available for US$799.99 in the US. However, it seems that LG has not released the monitor anywhere else yet. Moreover, LG is not offering any pre-order bundles for the UltraGear 45GR65DC, unlike the US$100 more expensive UltraGear 45GR75DC. On top of that, it is unclear when LG will begin shipping UltraGear 45GR65DC pre-orders. Please see LG's website for more details.
