LG has opened pre-orders for the UltraGear 45GR75DC, a more expensive option than the UltraGear 45GR65DC that the company also recently presented. For clarity, LG bases both monitors around 44.5-inch panels, despite their names suggesting a nominally larger 45-inch diagonal size. Incidentally, LG last refreshed the UltraGear series over two months ago with the 27GR83Q-B, 27GR93Q-B and 32GR93Q-B.
According to the company's website, the UltraGear 45GR75DC relies upon a VA panel that outputs at 5,120 x 1,440 pixels in a 32:9 aspect ratio and with a 1500R curvature. Additionally, the monitor provides 400 nits peak brightness when viewing SDR content, 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Also, LG lists the monitor as being DisplayHDR 600 compliant, which should ensure 600 nits if HDR content is active.
Moreover, the UltraGear 45GR75DC boasts 1 ms GtG response times, plus AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC integration to minimise image tearing. Currently, LG is selling the monitor for US$899.99 with a complimentary GP9 Gaming Speaker and should start shipping pre-orders on November 20. For reference, the UltraGear 45GR75DC features the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC)
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB Type-A
- 1x USB Type-B
- 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode/90 W USB Power Delivery)
