AOC AGON Gaming U27G3X/BK: New 27-inch gaming monitor arrives with 4K resolution, 160 Hz refresh rate and modern ports

AOC has unveiled the U27G3X/BK, the company's latest 27-inch gaming monitor, after releasing the CG27G2S/BK in late September. For reference, the U27G3X/BK sits within the company's AGON Gaming division, as does the U32G3X/BK. However, while the latter peaks at 144 Hz, the former delivers a 160 Hz native refresh rate.

Additionally, the U27G3X/BK outputs at 4K (3,840 x 2,160) with 1 ms response times (MPRT) and 400 nits brightness. Moreover, the 27-inch IPS panel supports Adaptive Sync (VRR) to minimise image tearing and offers 127%, 96% and 94% coverages of the sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces, respectively. AOC adds that the U27G3X/BK features the following ports, too:

• 1x 3.5 mm jack
• 2x DisplayPort 1.4
• 2x HDMI 2.1

According to AOC's press release, the AGON Gaming U27G3X/BK will be available from 'mid-November 2023'. With that being said, the company has not shared an explicit release date yet. Either way, the AOC Gaming U27G3X/BK will retail for £499.99 in the UK, making it £150 cheaper than the Gaming U32G3X/BK that AOC also announced this week.
