Nvidia's RTX 4000 lineup is slated to get a few new entrants, namely the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super. Leaks predict they'll consume more or less the same power as their non-Super counterparts and offer a marginal performance uplift. Those looking forward to getting their hands on one won't have to wait long if the information shared by renowned leaker Kopite7kimi is accurate.
Nvidia plans to unveil the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super at CES 2024, which usually happens sometime in the first week of January. The information sits in line with an earlier prediction, which stated the GeForce RTX 4080 Super (then known as the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti) would be unveiled in early 2024.
Of the three, only the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super (thanks, Jensen) will get a VRAM bump from 12 GB to 16 GB. However, it will be powered by one of two GPUs, AD103-275 and AD102-175. Similarly, the GeForce RTX 4070 Super (12 GB GDDR6X VRAM) will be split between AD103-175 and AD104-350 GPU. Thankfully, the GeForce RTX 4080 Super will exclusively use an AD103-400 GPU.
This leaves just the entry-level GeForce RTX 4050 desktop as the missing piece. Rumour has it that Nvidia will launch it in mid-2024 with 6 GB of VRAM. On the other end of the spectrum, the prospects of a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti seem dead.
