One-Netbook has revealed more details about the ONEXGPU, its alternative to the GPD G1 eGPU. Based around the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT like its GPD counterpart, the One-Netbook ONEXGPU adds an Ethernet connection, an additional video output and has a built-in M.2 2280 slot for PCIe SSDs.

One-Netbook has provided more details about the ONEXGPU, an eGPU that it teased at the end of last month. Initially, it hinted that the ONEXGPU would be a 'game-changer for graphics card expansion', albeit without clarifying how. Subsequently, the company then shared an 'exclusive sneak peek' of the same device, which it swiftly deleted.

Now, One-Netbook has brought the ONEXGPU to Indiegogo, albeit only in preview form. Currently, the listing contains an email address to sign up for receiving more information. Neither the Indiegogo listing nor One-Netbook itself has indicated when the ONEXGPU will be orderable, though.

At any rate, the latter has confirmed that the ONEXGPU has the following ports:

  • 1x DC-in
  • 2x DisplayPort
  • 2x HDMI
  • 1x Oculink
  • 1x RJ45 Ethernet
  • 2x USB Type-A (side-mounted)
  • 1x USB Type-C

Thus, the ONEXGPU has more video outputs than the GPD G1, which launched earlier this year for US$655. While the ONEXGPU adds an Ethernet connection, it lacks the additional USB Type-A port and a SD card reader of the GPD G1. The pair share identical graphics cards too, which One-Netbook outlined last month as the Radeon RX 7600M XT.

In short, AMD compares the graphics card against the desktop version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, shown below in official graphs. Arguably, little separates the ONEXGPU from the GPD G1. However, One-Netbook has included an M.2 2280 slot in an attempt to distinguish the pair, which appears limited to accepted PCIe 2.0 drives. Unfortunately, One-Netbook has not revealed pricing yet, which could be a key differentiator between it and the GPD G1.
