TCL asserts that the new 3s Pro are the brightest pair of RayNeo Air-series glasses to date, with a "boosted" peak rating of 1,200 nits thanks to their new "5.5th-gen" dual HueView 2.0 displays - which are apparently tandem OLED in addition to being micro-OLED.
The lenses are backed to deliver "industry-leading" contrast of 200,000:1, and to cover 145% and 98% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts respectively. They are touted to be easy on the eyes for lengthy movie-watching, gaming or AR sessions with a 3,840Hz PWM dimming mode.
The RayNeo Air 3s Pro glasses are rated to be instantly compatible with PCs, PlayStations, Xboxes (via a powered HDMI adapter), handhelds, iPhones, Android smartphones and Nintendo Switches (the Switch 2 included) via a JoyDock.
TCL claims that the Air 3s Pro set has been designed to fit any user, although they do still seem to be of the type that stick out from the face slightly, especially with their optional blackout shade on.
Then again, the glasses are also touted to be "lighter than a smartphone" - far lighter, at an estimated mass of 76 grams (g) even with their custom quad-speaker audio system with algorithms rated to simulate spatial audio, although it can be set to a Whisper Mode for privacy.
The lightweight "Portable Personal Cinema" is available to buy from TCL or Amazon at a starting price of $299 - albeit with a $50 off coupon on both platforms at the time of writing.
