This PlayStation exclusive could soon be adapted into a movie

Over the last few months, many projects have been launched in the world of video games and cinema. And recently, a user on X specified on this social network that a film adaptation of the PS4 exclusive The Last Guardian would be in preparation.

Thus, it should be noted that the adaptations of popular video games into films is not new. Indeed, several licenses have been able to benefit from this element, as is the case for the Far Cry franchise, but also for the famous God of War games with Amazon. However, concerning The Last Guardian, no information is yet known, although the user Genki_JPN has highlighted this project via Daniel Richtman. 

However, the story of this opus, which is highly rated on Metacritic, seems perfectly suitable for a film adaptation. As a reminder, in this game, you play as a young boy who wakes up alongside a creature named Trico. And needless to say that you will have to go on an adventure and succeed in countless challenges, while seeing the relationship between the boy and the creature evolve. 

Nevertheless, if this game has been appreciated by many players around the world, it has experienced various development issues, even delaying his release. It must be said that the developers have encountered major issues for years, causing a significant delay and the same thing could be feared for the development of this film. 

Thus, if The Last Guardian had a rather significant success since its launch in 2016, an adaptation into a film would be an excellent idea, especially for fans. But it will be necessary to wait, because no release date has been announced and the project seems to be still in its beginning. In other words, the next information that could arrive in the coming weeks and months will be crucial for the progress of this project.
