RayNeo has announced the RayNeo Air 2s AR/XR glasses with a virtual 201-inch OLED display and quad-speaker sound. The lightweight glasses connect to phones, tablets, game consoles, and PCs to display games, media, and online content.

RayNeo has announced the RayNeo Air 2s AR/XR glasses with a virtual 201-inch 120 Hz OLED display and quad-speaker sound for enjoying games, media, and online content. The extended reality glasses will be released on August 15, 2024. Preorders receive a $100 discount off the $399 MSRP and the opportunity to receive giveaways such as an external device adapter or streaming media box.

The lightweight Air 2s, weighing 2.75 ounces (78 g), can connect to phones, tablets, game consoles, and PCs. Devices that support DisplayPort (DP) over USB-C can be directly connected. The Nintendo Switch, non-DP devices, and HDMI video sources require additional adapters.

The expansive virtual display is powered by two 0.55-inch Sony micro OLED displays capable of reaching 5000 nits, which is reduced to 600 nits when the light reaches the eyes. The glasses have a 3D resolution of 3840 x 1080 pixels and a 2D resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Improved optics result in clearer images center-to-edge versus prior RayNeo glasses.

Sound is generated by four speakers built into the temple arms, a first for lightweight AR/XR glasses. The improved Whisper Mode 2.0 reduces sound leakage, lowering the chance of annoying those nearby.

The RayNeo Air 2s is currently listed on Amazon for $379. Readers wanting the preorder price of $299 should visit the Air 2s webpage before August 15, 2024. Giveaway requirements are detailed at the bottom of the page. Further specifications have not been published.
