Mijia Smart Audio Glasses: Xiaomi's smart glasses are also available globally
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses have been around for a while now, having been unveiled in April 2023. Unfortunately, Xiaomi appears to have decided against offering the smart glasses outside China, as is often the case with its more unusual devices. Please note that while the company has not officially ruled out a global release, it would typically have commented on international availability by now.
However, it is now possible to purchase the glasses outside China, albeit through a third-party importer. Specifically, Banggood is offering the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses for $115.99 in three styles, which it advertises as 'Pilot', 'Round' and 'Square Half Frame'. Please note that these will ship from a Chinese warehouse. As such, orders will likely incur customs duties and taxes upon arrival in most countries.
As we discussed last year, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses does not contain any built-in displays like the XREAL Air (curr. $299 on Amazon) or other smart glasses competitors. Instead, Xiaomi's effort focuses on audio with a small set of speakers in each arm that the company describes as a 'Super Balance Speaker 2.0'. Aimed at Android, Mac, iOS and Windows devices, the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses is rated for up to 24 hours of battery life between charges. Please see our launch article for more hardware details.
