Garmin has released Beta Version 26.81 for the Fenix 6 series and its counterparts. Rolling out now as a side-load-only build, the update is the latest that aims to improve Garmin's Auto Run feature in Sky and Snowboard activities.

Garmin has brought an incremental update to the Fenix 6 series, following the release of Beta Version 26.79 last week. This time, Garmin has jumped to Beta Version 26.81, which it is distributing as a side-loaded build. Thus, you must head to Menu, System, Software Update and then tap 'Check For Updates'.

Alternatively, Garmin has posted download links for all devices on a forum post. For reference, the company has created dedicated builds for the Fenix 6, Fenix 6S, Fenix 6 Pro, Fenix 6X, Enduro and MARQ. All builds appear to ship with the same solitary change, though. Specifically, Garmin has added split tracking within its Ski activity.

For reference, this beta cycle focuses on improving the Auto Run feature in Ski and Snowboard activities. Apparently, Garmin will no longer automatically pause ski or snowboard activities during the chairlift portion of runs. Instead, it will continuously track the entire activity, with some anomalies expected until Garmin rolls out this feature publicly. Please see the company's forum post for more details and download links.
