From New York to Philadelphia and beyond: The Fiido Titan e-bike should enable a range of up to 400 kilometers

Fiido Titan: The new e-bike should be released soon
Fiido has introduced a new, particularly powerful e-bike, which is also supposed to stand out thanks to the especially high possible range that it offers. The bike should be compatible with various accessories as well and can therefore handle a lot of luggage too.

Readers are probably familiar with the manufacturer Fiido for its e-bikes. With the Fiido Titan, the company has now introduced a new electric bike that should especially stand out for its extremely long range. According to the manufacturer, this range won't necessarily be achieved out of the box, but through the use of additional batteries instead.

While such range extenders are not unusual in principle, Fiido uses a significantly different mounting method compared to the otherwise frequently used bottle cage attachment. In concrete terms, a special mount is available, which is intended to allow two additional batteries to be transported safely. The batteries fit perfectly into the mount, which is apparently secured with a plastic strap. Judging from the few photos, the mount is installed close to the luggage carrier on the frame. According to the manufacturer, a range of up to 400 kilometers (~249 miles) can be reached with the two additional batteries, but as usual, this figure only applies under optimal conditions, that is, with little battery assistance, a low payload, and moderate speed.

The Fiido Titan should be able to handle up to 200 kilograms (~ 440 pounds), and special rims without spokes are also supposed to be able to withstand the stress. This is a fat bike with 26-inch (~66 cm) large and 4-inch (~10 cm) wide tires. A mid-motor with a power of 750 watts is installed, which is supposed to assist up to a speed of 45 km/h (~28 mph). At the moment, it's still completely unclear whether Fiido is also going to offer a scaled-down version. The mid-motor is controlled with the help of a torque sensor. There is a relatively large display in the stem, which should also be used to control the riding mode.

Apparently, the installation of a front basket is supported, so one is listed as an accessory. At the moment, there is no information regarding the price or the release date, but those who are interested can get notified about news via e-mail.
