Desiknio X20 Pinion e-bike with 250 W Mahle motor and X20 smart Bluetooth unit launches
The 2023 Desiknio X20 Pinion e-bike has been announced in Europe. The premium electric bicycle uses a 250 W Mahle X20 Hub Motor, weighing 1.3 kg (~2.9 lbs), and a PAS sensor to monitor your pedalling; the engine can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph). The integrated 250 Wh battery is hidden inside the bike’s frame, providing up to 100 km (~62 miles) of assistance range. A full recharge of the battery takes two to three hours.
Three models are available: Standard, Standard Carbon Fork and Comfort. The latter two variants have a carbon fibre fork, lowering the weight of the bike and reducing drag. Another difference between the models is the frame geometry, with the Standard bikes using a diamond-shaped frame and the Comfort option with a lower step-through. A Supernova V521s front and E3 taillights can be switched on using the iWOC ONE controller attached to the handlebar. You can also use the unit to change your assistance power.
Alternatively, an X20 smart Bluetooth unit enables you to adjust the assistance level and view the battery level in an accompanying app. Plus, the bike has a Pinion C1.9XR gearbox and TRP C1.8 Clean Cockpit brakes. The X20 has a 6061 aluminum frame and is lightweight, weighing around 13.5 kg (~29.8 lbs). You can currently pre-order the 2023 Desiknio X20 Pinion e-bike with prices starting at €5,495 (~US$5,528). The bicycles are available via dealers across the UK and EU, offered in Polar Blue, Granada Red, Jade Green or Dark Grey.
