The NIU BQi-C3 Pro electric urban commuter bike is now available. The e-bike has a 500 W motor with a peak power of 750 W and up to 45 Nm of torque. The engine can assist you at speeds up to 28 mph (~45 kph) across three power modes. Plus, NIU claims its Gates Carbon Belt drive is 33 times more durable than a traditional metal chain.
Lightweight swappable batteries provide a total of 920 Wh capacity and allow you to travel with assistance for up to 62 miles (~100 km) on a single charge. A pair of the power packs weighs 12 lbs (~5.4 kg), making it easy for you to carry them to extend your range further. The C3 is fitted with puncture-resistant tires, and an integrated 3.5-in (~89 mm) TFT color display can show real-time information such as your speed and distance travelled, as well as the battery charge level.
Integrated halo and rear lights help you to be seen, and front and rear disc brakes provide shorter stopping distances. The bike weighs 32 kg (~14.5 lbs) with a step-through frame. You can currently buy the NIU BQi-C3 e-bike in White, Glossy Gray or Matte Black for US$1,999, the white bike ships on November 5 at present, while the other two models will be dispatched on November 15.
