Delfast California e-bike with up to 160 Nm torque is crowdfunding on Indiegogo
A crowdfunding campaign for the Delfast California e-bike is now live on Indiegogo. The US model has a Bafang M620 motor with 750 W power, providing up to 160 Nm of torque and a top speed of 28 mph (~45 kph). The EU variant has a less powerful M410 motor with a 250 W output for a top speed of 16 mph (~25 kph) and up to 80 Nm of torque.
Each model has a 20 Ah Samsung lithium-ion battery, assisting you for up to 100 miles (~161 km) with the US model, while the EU variant has up to 124 miles (~200 km) range; you can fully recharge the removable power pack in around four hours. You can track your bike’s location and remotely lock and unlock your pedelec in the Delfast My eBike Ride app. Plus, you can view your distance travelled and battery charge level using the smartphone app. Similar information is also visible on the Bafang LCD color matrix display.
Other features of the e-bike include 20 x 3-in (~51 x 8 cm) tires, 160 mm mechanical disc brakes, auto-on LED headlights and a wireless charging phone mount which enables you to power your gadget on the go. The bicycle weighs 66 lbs (~30 kg) and can support loads up to 264 lbs (~120 kg). You can currently receive the Delfast California electric bicycle when you pledge US$2,999 to the Indiegogo campaign.
