Rockrider 2023 E-EXPL electric bike range revealed with up to 70 Nm torque
Rockrider has revealed four new electric bike models for its 2023 E-EXPL range. The brand announced the latest eMTBs during France's Roc d'Azur cycling race. The entry-level E-EXPL 520 has a Yamaha PWseries CE motor with up to 50 Nm of torque and four assistance modes. A 500 Wh battery and 180 mm Tektro disc brakes are fitted to the model alongside an 8-speed Microshift Acolyte derailleur.
The 520S is similar but has a full-suspension frame and X-Fusion elements. The motor is also different; a Brose Drive T provides up to 70 Nm of torque and can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph). The E-EXPL 700 has the same Brose motor as the 520S, with a larger 630 Wh battery pack. This bike has a 10-speed Shimano Deore derailleur and 29-in tires. The 700S is a full-suspension version of the 700, with a 140 mm Rockshox 35 Silver R fork and a RockShox Deluxe Select Coil shock.
Each bike has a display showing information such as battery charge level and speed. The 2023 models will be available in four sizes, from small to extra large. Further details about the models, such as their weights and frame composition, are unknown. Plus, the exact release date and pricing for the 2023 Rockrider E-EXPL e-mountain bikes have not yet been announced. It is also unclear in which markets the pedelecs will launch.
