Xiaomi confirms POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro pricing following global showcases
Xiaomi has revealed POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro pricing, following yesterday's launch in the UAE. To recap, Xiaomi derives the POCO F5 from the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, while the POCO F5 Pro is the global answer to the Redmi K60. As such, the POCO F5 is one of the first devices to launch with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, a chipset that offers Snapdragon 8 series performance levels with alleged improved power efficiency. By contrast, the POCO F5 Pro features the nominally more powerful Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
Additionally, the POCO F5 Pro has a higher-resolution display, a slightly larger battery and wireless charging support. However, the pair share the same cameras, with a 64 MP primary sensor complemented by 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro and 16 MP front-facing sensors. Xiaomi offers 120 Hz AMOLED panels in both models though, which each measure 6.67-inches across. A few other differences exist between the pair too, such as side-mounted versus in-display fingerprint scanners and a 3.5 mm jack for the POCO F5.
The POCO F5 starts at €429.90/£449 with 8 GB of RAM and rises to €479.90 for a 12 GB option, both with 256 GB of storage. For reference, Xiaomi only sells the POCO F5 in India, where it is available for INR 26,999 (~US$329) with 8 GB of RAM or for INR 30,999 (~US$377) with 12 GB of RAM, again mated to 256 GB of storage. Conversely, Xiaomi offers the POCO F5 Pro in three memory options, culminating in a 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB SKU that retails for €649.90. Full European and UK pricing can be found below.
