Rumor | Xiaomi 14-series launch to be made pre-Singles' Day special event in 2023

The 13 and 13 Pro launched in China as soon as it was seemingly possible to do so following the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on which they are based. Now, Qualcomm is thought to unveil that chipset's successor even earlier than usual in 2023, which means Xiaomi could mirror that behavior with a very timely launch for the concomitant 14 series.

In fact, Digital Chat Station now indicates Xiaomi might unleash the premium devices so as to precede the annual "Double Eleven" (also known as "Singles' Day") retail event traditionally held in conjunction with the date of November 11 in China.

Therefore, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro could be made official by the first or second week of November 2023, about 11 months after their forebears. That rumored schedule might seem premature, especially as the  refreshed flagship 13T series has not even made their global debut yet.

However, according to Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is more than ready to move on from the entire 13 series, as they have apparently done so well in their first 9 months of existence that the 13 Pro has now completely sold out through all domestic channels.

Then again, the actual 14 series itself may not prove so exciting, and are currently projected not to exactly match the iPhone 15 ine-up in terms of auspicious upgrades in 2023.
