Xiaomi may have only just released the 12 series globally, but it is on the verge of releasing more smartphones. Specifically, more Redmi K50 series handsets are up next, with Xiaomi already selling the Redmi K50 Gaming in China. As we have discussed previously, Xiaomi will unveil at least the Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+ tomorrow with Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000 SoCs, respectively.
In the meantime, hands-on photos of the handsets have emerged on Chinese social media. Purportedly, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi K50 Pro with a plastic back panel, seen in the images above. Additionally, one image confirms that the Redmi K50 Pro will launch with up to 256 GB of storage. Allegedly, Xiaomi will offer the smartphone with 128 GB of storage too, along with 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM configurations.
Separately, another hands-on photo has leaked what may be of the Redmi K40S. Reputedly, the Redmi K40S will launch alongside the Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+, but with the Redmi K40's specifications. The leaked photo suggests that the Redmi K40S will gain OIS though, a feature that the Redmi K40 lacks.
Moreover, the Redmi K40S could debut with Xiaomi's nano-microcrystalline process, which it teased for the Redmi K50 Pro+. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when Xiaomi will release the Redmi K50 series outside China, although the smartphones are expected to appear under the POCO F4 series.
