Fiido announces early-bird pricing for its first-gen Beast off-road scooter, hints at second generation with different styling
Fiido has been previewing its Beast sit-stand e-scooter on an Indiegogo Coming Soon page for a while. Now, the company has let us know that it will convert into a full campaign page tomorrow (March 17, 2022) at 13:00 CET.
The Beast, slated to come with a 1300W dual high speed motor (with a distribution of 500W for the front-most of these and 800W for the rear), has also now been assigned a normal retail price of US$2,399. However, it will drop to $1,599 for the e-vehicle's upcoming super early bird reward tier on its crowdfunding page.
With a top speed rated at 30 miles per hour (mph), this new machine might indeed be of interest to a growing number of battery-powered transport enthusiasts. However, Fiido has also now announced that the Beast's successor in terms of its form-factor may be another matter altogether.
The upcoming device, provisionally dubbed the B2, is now touted as a lightweight model, and does come across as the scooter version of an X-series e-bike, and will apparently come with the "futuristic design and intelligent function" to match. On the other hand, Fiido also indicates that its specs, price and product name are far from final at this stage.
