Mercedes has shared a first look at the interior of the 2023 EQS SUV. The images show a 56-inch hyper screen nearly as wide as the car, including the instrument cluster and a passenger display.

Mercedes has revealed the interior of the 2023 EQS SUV ahead of the vehicle’s April launch. The car will be the third model to use Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle architecture. The company describes the interior as comfortable and luxurious, with the space and adaptability you expect of a larger SUV.

The focus of the car’s interior is the 56-inch (142 cm) curved MBUX hyperscreen, which is almost as wide as the cabin. On the hyperscreen are the instrument cluster, the infotainment system and a passenger display. Around the screen sit the air-con vents and a centre console which Mercedes describes as “seemingly free-floating”.

In front of the passenger in the front seat is a 12.3-inch (31 cm) OLED display, which you can use for vehicle controls. You can also use the screen for entertainment, such as streaming TV while the car is moving. Mercedes-EQ provides camera-based blocking logic to dim the content if it detects the driver looking at the passenger display, ensuring the vehicle meets the relevant legal requirements.

The EQS SUV also has a Dolby Atmos sound system and Energizing Air Control Plus to clean fine particles and pollen from the air. Plus, you can add third-row seating and an electrically adjustable second row to your vehicle.

Mercedes is due to debut the 2023 EQS SUV on April 19th, with the vehicle expected to go on sale later this year. The car will come as standard with a 90 kWh battery and is likely to have at least 370 miles (595 km) of range.
