Fiido e-bike discounts can be earned with tracking data during new March 2023 event
Electric bikes are an increasingly popular and potentially fun form of transport, although some consumers might still be put off getting into the category by prohibitive prices for a decent model. Fiido's idea of demonstrating its awareness of this issue, as well as those related to the environment, are encapsulated in its currently ongoing event.
This new promo offers the chance of buying a new Fiido e-bike for less (or, possibly, nothing) in exchange for "time". There are some caveats, however: for one thing, the offer is not applicable to the OEM's upcoming 2023 range, and for another, one would have to post GPS maps of where they have been, and publicly too.
This is because the deal requires joining a Facebook group and sharing Google Timelines of one's journeys (by any means, apparently, by car, public transit or foot included). Eligible entries can earn participants coupons worth US$20 for Timelines representing journeys lasting 30 minutes or less; US$40 to US$80 for those lasting 60, 90 or 180 minutes, or US$100 for those lasting any longer than 210 minutes.
All and any coupons earned in this way between now and March 24, 2023 can apparently be used on the same order; therefore, a particularly diligent participant could get a new e-bike for US$0. It would be interesting to see if anyone does.
