Himiway announces limited edition fat-tire e-bikes

Himiway has announced two limited edition models of its Zebra fat-tire electric bicycles for the US. The new California and Florida versions feature bright colors and designs representing each area. Only 400 units of the special edition e-bikes are available, with the same 750 W motor and 80 miles (~129 km) range as the standard model.

Himiway is launching California and Florida limited edition versions of its Zebra fat-tire e-bike in the US. The new models have a unique step-over frame design, with a vibrant purple used for the California electric bicycle and bright blue for the Florida version. Himiway suggests that each area inspires these colors and the patterns used on the bikes. For example, the purple on the California bike mimics a sunset sky.

The new fat-tire e-bikes are similar to the standard edition, with an updated design and several improved parts. Himiway says it has used user feedback to enhance the bicycle, but precisely what changes have been made is unclear. The Zebra e-bike has a 750 W motor providing a top assistance speed of 25 mph (~40 kph), and a 48 V 20 Ah battery can provide up to 80 miles (~129 km) of range.

The bicycle has a 6061 aluminum frame and supports a payload of up to 400 lbs (~181 kg). You can pre-order the Florida or California Special Limited Edition Himiway Zebra e-bike in the US for US$2,299. It is worth noting that only 200 units of each e-bike are on offer, with the product due to ship in April. The standard Himiway Zebra electric bicycle retails for US$1,999.
