New tuning kit gives the Tesla Model Y a much sportier appearance
Tuning the technically complex drivetrains of modern electric cars appears to be pretty much impossible or at least extremely time consuming and expensive, which is why visual modifications may be the only feasible tuning option for most EV drivers. Fortunately, Tesla Model Y owners in particular now have another good-looking tuning kit to choose from, at least in Germany.
Today, the reputable and long-established tuning company Irmscher has officially presented a new body kit for the aforementioned Tesla Model Y, which is supposed to give the most successful electric SUV in the world a considerably sportier look. Unlike the smooth and unobtrusive standard design, the new front bumper features a non-functional grille as well as air intakes, while the side view of the tuned Tesla Model Y has been refined with a pair of eye-catching side skirts and decals.
Meanwhile, a more or less discreet roof spoiler has also been added to the Tesla Model Y, while a diffusor makes the rear look much beefier than before. The tuning kit is rounded off by custom 20-inch rims called “Heli Star”, and they are available in black or an exclusive diamond-polished finish. Although not shown in the pictures, the interior of the modified Tesla Model Y sports new stainless steel door sill plates and high-quality velour carpets. Unfortunately, the company has yet to release pricing details for its visually attractive tuning package, while the availability for prospective buyers outside Germany also remains unknown.
