The German sportscar maker Porsche is apparently working on a few quite significant technical and some rather subtle exterior upgrades for the 2024 Porsche Taycan, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary next year after the successful launch back in 2019. Unsurprisingly, more facelifted prototypes have now been caught during a winter test drive.
After the 2024 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, which may feature an eye-catching rear spoiler, showed up in beautiful spy shots last November, two more facelift prototypes have now also hit the winterly roads of Sweden. A corresponding video was published on YouTube and is also embedded below. In addition to the regular sedan version, the new clip shows the updated station wagon variant called the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo, which hits higher speeds on an idyllic country road.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell which exact drivetrains have been put to the test during this winter trial run of the Porsche Taycan prototypes, but observers still claim that the automaker could equip the electric sportscar with a new three-motor powertrain with a monstrous peak output of more than 1,000 hp. It remains to be seen if the upgrade will meet Porsche's high expectations and standards. In comparison, the current model year maxes out at 751 horsepower. The exterior of the 2024 Porsche Taycan facelift will also feature some slight changes to the front bumper, but during the winter test, the company still obscured these small adjustments with black tape.
