With its minimal chin-mounted branding (leaving its AlienFX LED logos and chunky, "e-sports-inspired" Legend 2.0 stand facing the rear), the AW2524H has an almost unassuming look - especially considering it is the world's first 24.5-inch gaming monitor that can be DPI-overclocked to 500Hz (being 480Hz out of the box).
Alienware claims that it can match this ground-breaking refresh rate with a GtG response time of as little as 0.5 milliseconds (ms, although the brand concedes that the spec is typically more like 1ms in "Extreme Mode" testing). The AW2524H is also rated for VESA HDR400 support and NVIDIA's Reflex Latency Analyzer via 1 of its 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 downstream ports.
The AW2524H's FHD, panel is also backed to reproduce colors well, covering 99% of the sRGB color space. At 178° in its horizontal and vertical axes, its viewing angles are also touted as superior to those of "competing TN panels".
Alienware has waited until this high point of its MWC 2023 showcase to reveal that bringing this inaugural example of a "new category of speed and clarity" to the desk may make one's spare cash as endangered as ghosting should be on its "supremely fluid" screen, however. It will be available in Dark Side of the Moon for US$829.99, or CA$1,099.99, from March 21, 2023.
