CES 2020 | Alienware unveils Alienware 25, a 25-inch 240 Hz gaming monitor with a 1 ms response time
Alienware is known for its top-tier gaming laptops and desktops, but the brand has released some of the best gaming monitors on the market. The latest and greatest gaming display from Alienware is the new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor (AW2521HF), a 25-inch display with a lightning-fast refresh rate.
The Alienware 25 features a 25-inch FHD (1920x1080) IPS panel with a super-high refresh rate of 240 Hz. The panel also boasts a quick 1 ms response time, which is almost unheard of for an IPS monitor. Gamers will enjoy the other benefits of the high-end IPS display, like 99% coverage of the sRGB color gamut and wide viewing angles. The monitor is also compatible with both AMD Radeon FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync for super-smooth gameplay without screen tearing.
The Alienware 25 has a redesigned stand that has height markers for easier adjustments and vertically short legs that allow for simple keyboard storage. The display itself has very thin bezels on three sides (top, right, and left), though Alienware did not provide precise measurements. The monitor is compatible with Alienware’s AlienFX software to customize lighting options to respond to in-game events. Users can also set up their own pre-programmed light shows. Lastly, there is an on-screen menu that can be used to configure the monitor and can show other tools like a built-in FPS counter.
The Alienware 25 will be available on March 11, 2020, starting at US $499.99.
