NEC’s new Lavie Home AIO is a beautiful All-in-One targeted at the home market. The Home AIO has a few tricks up its sleeve that may make it a good fit for the family.
The Home AIO runs on a Comet Lake Intel Core i7-10510U clocked at 1.8 GHz with 8 GB (2x 4 GB) SO-DIMM DDR4-2666 RAM and a 256 GB PCIe SSD. Users can also configure the Home AIO to use an extra 3 TB 5400 RPM 3.5” HDD for mass storage. The All-in-One also has a DVD±R drive and plenty of I/O: three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an Ethernet jack, a microSD card slot, and a combo headphone/microphone jack.
Sound is pumped through the AIO’s screen thanks to LG’s Crystal Sound Display technology. The four speakers (2x 1.5 W full-range, 2x 1.2 W tweeter) situated behind the display vibrate the glass to direct sound at the user. The Home AIO can also double as a smart speaker thanks to its Wake on Voice software. Users can turn on the PC with their voice or invoke Alexa or Cortana to launch apps through the four-array microphone setup.
The display is a 27-inch FHD IPS panel rated at 250 nits peak brightness. Wireless connections are handled through the 802.11ax (2x2) WiFi card and Bluetooth 5.0. The entire setup measures in at 24.23 x 11.27 x 13.52 inches (615.4 x 286.1 x 343.4 mm) and weighs 23.37 lbs (10.6 kg).
The Lavie Home AIO will be available March 2020 in a “Fine White” color starting at US $1799.99.
