The Alienware m16 and m18 which were first announced at CES 2023 carry the latest 13th-gen Intel Raptor Lake processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 GPUs. While the top-end configurations of the new m16 and m18 have been available for purchase, the entry-level SKUs have yet to appear on store shelves.
Today, Dell has finally revealed that the cheaper 2023 Alienware m16 and m18 configs featuring Intel Raptor Lake CPUs and Nvidia GeForce boards will go on sale on March 7 at a starting price of US$1,899 (CAD2,699) and US$2,099 (CAD2,999) respectively. Unfortunately, pricing for the Alienware m16 and m18 variants rocking AMD chips remains under wraps with Dell promising to announce details close to the Q2 launch.
In addition to the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs that are coming down the line, the Alienware m16 can be equipped with a Core i7-13650HX on the low end to a Core i9-13900HX on the top end. On the GPU side, you have the option to go with the RTX 40 cards from Nvidia or Radeon GPUs from AMD when they are available. Finally, the storage and RAM combo on offer goes up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory and up to 9 TB of PCIe storage.
While the 18-inch Alienware m18 largely shares the specs with the smaller m16, the notebook can be powered with a top-of-the-line Core i9-13980HX. Just like the m16, users will have the option to choose AMD processors and graphics cards come Q2.
