Alienware 500Hz Gaming Monitor previewed with 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel and 500 Hz peak refresh rate
Dell has shared more details about Alienware 500Hz Gaming Monitor, which the company also refers to as the AW2524H. To recap, Dell showcased the gaming monitor last month at CES 2023, during which it announced availability first in China on February 8, with a North American release due on March 21. Unfortunately, Dell still has not revealed how much the AW2524H costs, with even its Chinese pricing a mystery at this stage.
While we await AW2524H pricing, Dell has confirmed that the monitor relies on a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel that outputs at 1,920 x 1080 pixels and 500 Hz over DisplayPort or 240 Hz using HDMI. For reference, the AW2524H supports a 500 Hz refresh rate when overclocked but operates natively at 480 Hz. Additionally, the panel offers 99% sRGB colour space coverage, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, TÜV Rheinland certified ComfortView Plus low blue light hardware and NVIDIA Reflex Analyser to minimise in-game latency.
Moreover, Dell has included AlienFX RGB lighting, a retractable headset hanger and numerous ports, which are outlined in the picture below. In short, the AW2524H has five USB ports, two HDMI connections and a single DisplayPort, among other I/O. Dell has also confirmed that the AW2524H measures 500.51 x 390.51 x 555.14 x 243.71 and weighs 6.80 kg with its stand included. However, the monitor comes in at 328.86 x 555.14 x 84.00 mm and 4.44 kg without its stand attached.
