Alienware Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard launches with per-key RGB lighting and Cherry MX switches

Alienware's AW420K packs the brand's latest mechanical keyboard specs into a new wired RGB form-factor. With its refined profile and tenkeyless form-factor, it is also rated to save on desk space. Then again, its multi-mode risers can restore some height if necessary, while its PBT key-caps and Cherry switches are backed to keep its typing experience going in the long term.

The new Alienware AW420K has launched at MWC 2023 as a tenkeyless alternative to the flagship-grade AW920K, albeit with the same easily-recognizable style and build quality (PBT keycaps with molded-in legends for potentially enhanced longevity included).

The AW420K is also the only wired-only option of the 2. Then again, its underside comes with the routing for its detachable USB type-C to type-A paracord cable necessary to retain it off to for one side if necessary. It is also graced with a 1000Hz polling rate by default.

Nevertheless, it also features the same Cherry MX Red switches as the AW920K, as well as risers that can be set to 3 different heights. Alienware's latest tenkeyless option also and can store up to 5 different profiles, derived from its brand's Command Center and 16.8 million-color AlienFX lighting customizations.

The Alienware AW420K Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard will be available in the same Dark Side of the Moon and Lunar Light colorways as the AW920K; however, it is available from today (March 2, 2023) for US$159.99 or CA$219.99.
