Sony teased the upcoming Spider-Man 2 as well as possibly a new Uncharted title in a 'Live from PS5' ad that brings back memories from early PlayStation live action marketing. Those who want to buy a PlayStation 5 in 2023 will have a much easier time, reiterated Sony, as it has now significantly increased the console's production.

The PlayStation 5 stock shortage that fans have been experiencing since the console's launch will be resolved this year, confirmed Sony in a blog post celebrating the launch of its new "Live from PS5" ad series. "If you’re looking to purchase a PS5 console, you should now have a much easier time finding one at retailers globally," claimed Sony as it thanked players for their patience.

It also reminded those fans in the U.S., U.K, France, Germany, Netherlands, or Belgium who want to buy a PlayStation 5 console, game or accessory, to go straight to the local PlayStation Direct website and purchase from there. At last try, PS5 consoles were still not in stock in some of these locations, but hopefully the situation will be resolved as the increased production count works its way through Sony's supply chain and logistics.

The blog post was actually dedicated to the launch of the "Live from PS5" marketing spree which features live action scenes from upcoming PlayStation 5 games like Spider-Man 2 or the recent God of War Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7 releases. Some even claim that they have caught a glimpse of the Uncharted 5 sequel despite than Naughty Dog's own Neil Druckmann said just last week that they are done with the franchise for now:

Beyond that, I know there's a bunch of people wondering about The Last of Us Part 3 and whether that will be a thing or not. All I could say is, at Naughty Dog we're very, very privileged that our publisher is Sony - which means Sony funds our games, supports us, and we're owned by Sony. They have supported us every step of the way to follow our passions - meaning that just because something is successful, people think there's all this pressure and we have to make a sequel. That's not the case. For us, Uncharted was insanely successful - Uncharted 4 was one of our best selling games - and we're able to put our final brushstroke on that story and say that we're done. We're moving on.

Sony also reiterates that 2023 will be an "amazing" year for new PS5 releases, mentioning Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4: Remake and Street Fighter 6, plus the new expansions of Destiny 2: Lightfall and Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. That's not to mention the more than 30 PlayStation VR2 releases that Sony's second virtual reality headset generation will launch with when it is released on February 22.
