Google has announced that its annual I/O conference will take place on May 10, 2023. As always, the company will host the event in Mountain View, California, at Googleplex. While Google will continue to host a limited on-site audience for the second year running, it will also live stream the I/O 2023 conference.
Like previous years, Google will kick off this year's I/O conference with a keynote speech, where it is expected to make consumer-facing announcements. Once the keynote ends, Google will then host over 100 sessions for software developers, registration for which it has already opened to interested developers. Conversely, Google has not provided any details about the keynote's content.
Android 14 will inevitably make an appearance though, with Google seeding the second developer preview today. Developer Preview builds only offer technical changes from the previous version of Android, as has proven the case with Android 14 DP1 and Android 14 DP2. However, Google is also rumoured to have the Pixel 7a prepared for I/O 2023, mirroring last year's conference and the Pixel 6a. Potentially, Google could provide more details about a revised Wear OS too, as well as the Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold and the Pixel 8 series.
