MagyarXiaomi reveals POCO F6 Pro will feature 120 W wired charging and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset before global release
A few days have passed since leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore suggested that Xiaomi is only a month out from unveiling the POCO F6 Pro. Incidentally, the same device was recently spotted on the FCC and Geekbench with the model number 23113RKC6G. Given that the model number contains the suffix 'G', it seemed that Xiaomi intended to offer the POCO F6 Pro globally.
Now, GSMArena has received information that underlines that notion. Surprisingly, Xiaomi has already posted global software to its public servers. As the screenshot below shows, the POCO F6 Pro is eligible for version 1.0.2 of HyperOS, the successor to Xiaomi's well-known MIUI. Additionally, the full build number confirms that the update will be available to the handset's global model.
On top of that, Xiaomi has codenamed the POCO F6 Pro 'Vermeer', the same codename used for last year's Redmi K70. For context, shared device codenames only occur when two devices share the same underlying hardware. In other words, Xiaomi's early POCO F6 Pro release essentially confirms that the device is a Redmi K70 by another name. Thus, the POCO F6 Pro will feature 120 W wired charging, as well as a 120 Hz OLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
