MagyarHonor X6a: New budget smartphone debuts with 50 MP primary camera and 90 Hz display
Honor has introduced a new smartphone in Europe. Sold as the Honor X6a, the smartphone appears to be a UK exclusive for the time being. However, its appearance on the company's global website implies that it will soon be available in other markets, Eurozone included.
According to Honor, the X6a relies upon a 6.56-inch LCD panel that outputs at 1,612 x 720 pixels, underlining its position as a cheaper smartphone within Honor's portfolio. Still, the Honor X6a offers a 90 Hz refresh rate, which is not guaranteed for a sub-£150 smartphone. Honor pairs the 720p panel with a 5,200 mAh battery too, a combination that should deliver solid battery life.
The Honor X6a also supports 22.5 W wired charging, although the company has not included an appropriate power adapter in the box. Additionally, Honor installs a 50 MP sensor as the device's primary camera, along with dual auxiliary lenses and a 5 MP front-facing camera that has an f/2.2 aperture. Moreover, a MediaTek Helio G36 underpins proceedings, which Honor complements with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM.
The Honor X6a sells for £129.99 in the UK and is available in Cyan Lake or Midnight Black colourways. Currently, the company offers the handset in a sole 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variant. However, it also lists a 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage option on its global website, along with a Sky Silver colourway.
