Deal | Oukitel WP27 brings camo style to rugged smartphones for as little as US$160

Oukitel has developed a new Camuflage colorway for its new WP27 rugged smartphone. Its (arguably last-gen) camera hump also boasts an "Owls Eye IR Night Vision" sensor, while the front panel is rated for a 120Hz refresh rate for a 6.8-inch FHD+ display with a punch-hole selfie camera.

The WP27 would have a hard time standing out on the rugged smartphone market otherwise, with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and an 8,500mAh battery that, while touted as another of the device's selling points, is outdone by some of its rivals.

The WP27 also has durability-friendly buzzwords such as a MIL-STD-810H rating, as one might expect. Then again, the smartphone does at least have 256GB of internal storage to go with its 12GB of RAM, apparently extendable by another 12GB within its Android 13-based system.

Oukitel has priced the WP27 at US$269.99 via its own store - however, that drops to US$179.99 on its launch via AliExpress, with the possibility of applying a "Store Coupon" for an additional US$20. This offer lasts until the OEM has sold 500 units of the smartphone (which also comes in a not unattractive Black Blue alternative color) or until September 21, 2023, whichever comes first.
